Royal Blue is known for its mud holes, if you like to play in the mud, this is the place for you.

Over 100 miles of trails, most ranging from Easy to Moderate.
Plenty of mud, obstacles and creeks for a challenge, or you can by-pass most of them for leisure riding with the family.

Plenty of food, gas and lodging at exit 141.
Comfort Inn hotel allows you to leave your trailer in their lot as long as you were a guest.

Starting October 19th, 2002 Royal Blue will officially turn into a "pay to play" area for all Off Road Vehicles. There will be two different pay scales depending on if you area a Tennessee resident or non-resident.

  • If you are a resident and are legal to hunt in the state of Tennessee you will have to pay nothing additional.
  • If you do not hunt, you will have to pay either a $10 per day fee or have a yearly $50 permit.
  • If you are not a Tennessee resident you will either have to be legal to hunt in Tennessee (out of state hunting license) or pay $25 per day or $160 per
    year.

This area is being looked at as a pilot project to gauge how much revenue future OHV areas in Tennessee could expect to generate.

According to TWRA officials the permits will be available anywhere hunting and fishing licenses are sold. This includes Walmarts and other hunting and fishing supply stores.

For more information on permits contact TWRA.
